WordPress mixed content warning help, please

The site in question doesn't have much content, fortunately. Rather than access root files (which intimidates the fuck out of me), can I simply make changes via the dashboard? Re-upload images and fix hyperlinks to change from http to https?

Or does it have to take place at the server level?

1. Why not try what you know you can do yourself comfortably?

ID the http:// links in the page(s) first ... make as many of those be valid https:// links as you can ... and see what happens?

2. Yeah, I'm doing that...

but I don't know enough to know if something must be changed at the root level to remove the Privacy Warning message that appears when entering the URL.

I am going to go ahead and reload the images and fix hyperlinks though.

3. Not sure offhand but I do know that if a page has an https:// address

Then most if not all links on the page also have to point to https:// addresses in order to avoid mixed content warnings.

So no matter what you're on the right track/doing something useful, even if it doesn't solve it completely.
