Need to Switch Out of Microsoft S Mode on new HP laptop.

In the Store there are steps for this, but commenters & articles say it doesn't work. (M. is doing nothing to fix it).

If it can be done, can I retain Edge?

Any new computers made without S Mode (other than Apple)?

Thanks in advance. Basic user that likes things basic.

Took my HP laptop to my local computer people and they fixed it. Don't know how easy it is to do yourself.

I lucked onto a poster, a tech expert who gave easy to follow directions. And voila! it worked, quite easy to do.

*I noted the steps if anyone needs them, but for the life of me I can't find his original post in the 3 articles I saved.

Thanks much for your reply, glad you found folks to fix it. Repair places are far out and slim pickings in this area.

Unless you are experienced in building inclusive/exclusive boolean searches. And I really take offence when seeing this line typed as a throwaway comment. Google, like Trump, wants you to think it is your friend when it really only wants to take advantage of you.

For the OP, here's an article covering S Mode that is worth reading.

I detest Google's mgmt. and some tactics, Facebook too and a couple others- they brought it on themselves.
