Any tips on uploading to Google drive (free version) video is taking 2 hours

Last edited Mon Aug 3, 2020, 10:00 PM - Edit history (1)

But at least it is moving. Now says I have 30 minutes left. It is a 13 minute video 1.3 Gigabyte is what properties said. Is this normal?

Any way to speed the video upload process?.

I want to share with friends & maybe here on DU without using Facebook or you tube. Any advice or alternatives?

--------

Much much later:

The video is uploaded. BUT-it says it is being processed . There is a download now tab & it is doing something-but not telling me how long.
I'm more than a tad new at this uploading etc... so it is probably just me. I'll start the next download before I go to bed I guess.

And still later
Yay-It is working!

On cable television systems running near capacity upstream internet traffic has a very low priority. Sometimes the only way to get higher, more reliable, upload speeds is to pay for expensive "business" packages.

1.3 Gigabytes may be a little large for a 13 minute internet video meant for sharing. You may be able to reduce the size using handbrake or similar tools.

A 13 minute 480p video encoded with h.264 would use less than 300 megabytes.
