Help - My bookmarks are a true mess...
Can I use some extension or other tool to alphabetize or catagorize my browser bookmarks?-

(37,397 posts)I know the 'export bookmarks' in older browsers used to alphabetize your bookmarks whether you wanted it or not.

(46,979 posts)There are folders and subfolders and more subfolders.
Somehow I managed to preserve the chronological sort over several generations of computers.
If I moved a folder it would confuse me, so it's a foundation now.
If I rename a folder, it causes the sort to go to alphabetical. Not my cuppa tea.
Once a year I have to see what's inactive and delete them.
I regularly backup to HTML and store the file in several places.

(4,635 posts)I keep postponing and it keeps on growing. Thanks! It's good that those folders work for you; at least you've got categories in which to play hide and seek, haha! Perhaps once I see what's there again, it will all magically fall into a nice tidy "place" to easily re-locate. Many probably aren't as important as I once thought. I will have to look into that Chrome bookmark manager as recommended above...
