Can't load Words with friends 2 on my phone

I had Words with Friends 2 on my phone. I have had nothing but trouble with it since I installed it several months ago. I uninstalled it once a few months ago, and reinstalled it, but the problems persisted. I like playing the solo games, and I learned that if it got stuck, I could force stop the app and then go back and continue where I left off. Yesterday, I lost the last game of the series and the game got stuck on processing. I waited for over 2 hours and tried force stop several times with no change. I finally uninstalled the app, and tried several times last night and this morning to reload it, but keep getting error messages. I went through the Google Play trouble-shooting steps, such as clearing the cache,uninstalling Google Play and reinstalling it, nothing is helping.

I have enough free space on my phone, the phone has an adequate platform. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S3. I don't know if my Internet connection is strong enough to download a game. I got several messages yesterday that I was offline in the house, even though the cable modem had all the lights on and working. My laptop was working okay, too. The only devices I have on are the phone and the laptop. I tried switching the phone over to its plan, and that didn't help either.

I tried downloading Words Classic, but it won't download either.

Any ideas? I am supposed to be getting a new phone, but I don't understand why the game apps downloaded and worked before, but won't download and work now.

4. I played Word Wars for awhile

But I kept getting hit on. I was polite that I just wanted to play the game, but too many of the players were persistent about meeting in other places and such. I'd play games, and the effort from the other person was really lame, but the emails came without a pause. One guy I played introduced himself with one name and picture, and a few days later, I saw the same picture with another name in the invite players list. I laughed, but didn't accept any more challenges. I played solo for awhile, and finally uninstalled it to see if Words With Friends 2 would work any better. That didn't help. I'll try Scrabble Go. I am guessing that there is so much extra traffic on the Internet that I'm not getting enough juice to download.

7. I flashed my modem

uninstalled Google Play and reinstalled it, and tra-la Words with Friends 2 downloaded and installed!

I always have pen and paper with me. If I am stuck waiting, I'll write down a word, and then see how many words I can make with the letters. I try to follow the rules I saw in puzzle books, such as no 2 letter words, no abbreviations, no hyphens. I do make plurals if there is an S in the word I choose.

It's hard to find a game that is really good solo & this one is, although, I've been stuck at level 13 on two different journwys today.
