Update: went into Samsung store today. Guy fixed it in 2 seconds. I WAS WRONG... it wasn't Bixby after all. It was the voice reader app... but whatever it was was annoying.

It was fine until today when I tried their Bixby app. Well! I can't get out of it now. Was on samsung chat for over 1/2 hour (on my samsung tablet)they stepped me through a few different ways to exit the app, doing a restart, soft reboot... still cannot exit the damn app. I am going to a samsung store tomorrow to get them to help me. The app is supposedly for accessibility for people who need it. And the app sucks. I've never seen an app that there's no way to uninstall. And I only tried it out of curiosity. I could kick myself.

Anyway, warning to anyone who uses new samsungs with this stupid app. There are many youtube videos with instructions as to how to disable it... now I know why.

Who owns the phone you bought and paid for? You, Samsung, or Google? /nt bucolic_frolic Dec 2021 #1

need a newer one next time in order to have a 5g phone. But I've found them to be basically foolproof. If they weren't, I would've screwed mine up long ago.

Different glitch. Randomly my notification settings just change. Suddenly I get notifications for some app I don't even know I have, and yet don't get notifications for voicemail and messages.

I never had that problem with earlier Galaxy models. I do remember a long ordeal trying to turn Google Assistant (like Bixby) off.
