How do you totally block an email from ever coming into your inbox in Gmail??

I keep getting emails from Sophos or what ever they call them selfs. I don't ever remembering going to their website for anything. I keep unsubscribing for months now to no avail. I have filtered the email to go to trash and I don't even want that.. Sometimes I get the feeling that when I un subscribe I'm just telling me that my email address is alive and accepting their emails.. uff
Any Ideas?

...from that browser. If you use chrome to read your email, maybe install Opera for everything else. Only read you email from chrome.

If you were hosting an email server locally the way a business would, you could have your gateway de-pier the domain that forwards the email to you. You might also lose other emails. Your question is analogous to asking how can make sure that you never get snail mail from a certain entity.
