I did not know but...firefox truly sucks.
I installed it on my 'new' laptop and boy, that was a mistake. I liked it 12 years ago, but now it takes forever to load when it does and I am not enjoying this. Can anyone help me find a similar browser that's easy to work with, maybe one I can use as a default without having to set everything up again?
And my next question is what do you do with all your pix? I don't use my phone for anything like FB so am finding it impossible to paste photos from phone to laptop. Is this where clouds come in?
I missed 10+ years of technology, and it shows! Thank you for any help!

(120,833 posts)and when I take a picture with my phone it's also sent to the same app on my laptop and my iPad via the cloud. I don't have to do anything. A simple way to get your phone pics to your laptop is just to email them to yourself from your phone.

(49,445 posts)The mobile version is okay on a phone but I don't enjoy it too much on my tablet/laptop ASUS. Chrome works better on that, but all my shortcuts are in Firefox.
The P.C. version works fine for me, and I'm still using Windows7 on my main work computer and my home PC.

I've used firefox for many many years, but I am very disgusted with it.

(7,543 posts)The integrated Google Apps are really good. From GMail, Meet, Contacts, Calendar. The templates available for the apps which are pretty compatible with the Microsoft Office corollaries. The main drawback to Chrome is the RAM it uses up. If you are running Windows 10, you'd probably want at least 8GBs of RAM to do anything useful. 4GBs won't cut it if you have a lot of browser windows/tabs open.
The profile syncing is much better and easier with Chrome as well.

(359 posts)Try this with any of your alternatives.
Open 8 or 9 browser windows.
Now open up 400 tabs across those Windows
Do any of your wowzer alternative web browsers work at all.
I do this with Firefox in Linux as a routine.
Firefox does NOT suck.
