Some advice please on noise cancelling headphones

I want to get a set of noise cancelling headphones. Something that cancels lawn mowers and other yard equipment, loud mufflers and motorcycles. There is no place in my house that I can't hear these noises. I thought if I tried headphones, maybe I won't go insane this summer.

I listen to the radio a lot, so headphones with or without music would be fine. I don't know what I should be looking for. I asked my daughter and my grandson, but I didn't get specifics.

I appreciate any advice. I hope it was okay to post in Computers and Internet. Thank you

I posted in DIY and got a lot of information. I am planning to hire a contractor for some small jobs around the house. I'll put that on the list for an estimate. Thank you

i know what you mean, tho. i had some neighbors in 2020 who passed the time in lockdown by shooting off m-100s night and day.

the elected Ohio state diaper parade passed a law allowing fireworks 247/365, so several of the people on the street shoot them off randomly.

You'd think in this world that is becoming so noisy, we'd seek to make less noise, not more.

i couldnt help it, i went super karen on them.
not only were they driving me and everyone else on the block nuts, my hens stopped laying and started tearing the feathers out, and both my dogs bout lost their minds.
they were shooting bottle rockets at pedestrians and mortars at cars.

i won in the end, and there was barely a peep last summer. but some folks still mad at me for bein so loud about it. oh well.

but he wasn't specific. I just can't stand the thought of another noisy summer. I own the house, but I would move if there was any house to move to

Thank you!

and they all mow at least 2x a week for hours. And I don't think anyone on my street has ever met a tree they liked. They run what they want, when they want to. If I want to enjoy a nice weather day, I have to leave the house. If I have company, we mostly sit outside, and I can't think of a time one neighbor or another didn't fire up a mower, and make conversation impossible.

I have a lawn service come in and they take 10 minutes to mow and trim my yard. And they do a great job.

Thanks for the sympathy

... Plus they have "Transparency" mode in addition to "Noise Cancelling"... which amplifies ambient noise.

Works best with Apple devices, but will still connect to most bluetooth devices.
