Hotmail(Outlook) help needed if you can.

All my contacts on my Hotmail account are gone. The address heading is missing. How do I get the address option back to the top? I guess the contacts are gone forever. Don't know what happened. Any ideas?
I tried to find the answer via Hotmail but I get the message that there are no contacts. THe bar reads only ...New messages...Mark as read...Undo.

Since I am a computer idiot, I need to ask for help.

My contact list is back, I hope it remains. I don't know how this happened, I rarely use this account.
Anyone know how I can get the address book title back to the top?

My thanks to all at DU who help this old timer with what might be a simple problem to some but to an infrequent user, things like this throw me for a loop! (PS don't get old! Even simple things confuse me!)

I have Windows 10 so switched to Microsoft Edge and recovered everything.
