This has to do with Accounts with Microsoft.

The one good reason to keep an account with Microsoft is the ability to download Microsoft programs purchased online. My problem: My account was under a very old email address that I now want to close. I haven't used the address for many years and the only thing that comes in under that account is massive spam. But I have kept it open because once every few years, my laptop goes kaput and I have to access Microsoft for my programs and, my account is under that email address.

So, anyone have an idea how to update my email address without losing access to my programs?

1. Edit your msft account information and add a new email account to it.

Once you have verified it works for signing into your account, edit again and remove the other email address.

I tried looking for a place to edit the email address. I'll try it again.
