I started saving artwork and text in Word and now can't find it.

It was here and then it wasn't. What could I have done to make it unfindable now?

I thought it was saved to a Word file and now I can't find it. I don't know how I got the right place in Word. I don't think I did anything to find that place.

Need help as I don't want to recreate it.

Thanks.

At this point I am just going to wait until Wednesday when my IT guy comes back. Ironically, his next "lesson" with me was going to be how to save my artwork on Word.

I am wondering if I don't have an older version of Word that lacks the ability to do this, just as folks here have shown me. But I am truly thankful to al of you and will let you know what I was doing wrong.

...open the app from the Start menu. As word is starting a rectangular "splash screen" will first open saying ms-word and the version, might be word 365 or a version tagged with the release year.

but since I seem to be going in circles, I am going to let my computer guy come and show me exactly where I went wrong and how to do it right. Also, tell me the solution to the mystery of a file that is probably gone forever. But I have this frail hope that he will find it "ta da!" because I was able to copy and paste the actual artwork (by sheer accident) so I can be enabled to do this again.

I will let you know what my computer guy has to say on Wednesday.

My experience might be a "learning experience" for others in my predicament.

See you again soon, my wonderful DU friends! (blows kisses and bows)
