copy function not set correctly?
New refurb computer.... windows 10 home..... Dell 3020
When I try to copy a URL, it copies the title of the page but not the URL itself.
When I copy some words within a post, it's ok.
Highlight works fine.
It's both when I use the mouse button copy or CTRL C

Glad you can copy now.

(40,100 posts)It seems that I could not copy/paste a URL into Yahoo email if it was set to the newer version.
I switched to he plain version and could paste into it.
But you have to add a space after the URL to make it a click link.
Sometimes you have to be the mad scientist to experiment and find out what works.
IT'S ALIVE!

(18,577 posts)The chain icon next to the "B" for bold opens a dialog that you can paste a link into.
If you have a complete url with the https://, delete the default prefix in the dialog before you paste.

(40,100 posts)On the other computer, I could paste it and it would convert to words, but I could change it back to the URL itself.
It's an extra step but does what I want.

What's wrong Fred?
It's this %^*& computer. It does what I tell it to rather than what I want it to.
