I get 403 forbidden on only one website (so far) State Farm, and I get it on ONLY
my home network via Comcast/Xfinity and Gateway XB7 modem/router. When I switch to cellular on the iphones, Verizon, get on right away no problem.
But now on Iphone 14 (wife) and Ipad using Safari we can get on, cant get on using Chrome on those.
On my Iphone 14+ cant get on using either browser, but if I turn wifi off I get on using Verizon cellular.
Have rebooted all devices and the Gateway. Also have laptop PC, cant get on using Chrome or Edge.
403 forbidden as I understand it is the site blocking me for whatever reason, suspicious activity or whatever. Called State Farm IT and he was not aware that they ever do that but would refer it up the chain.
The app also does not connect on wifi but will when I switch to cellular.
2 days ago my router modem got goofy and had to be restarted, the ROKU and TV kept disconnecting after that when I would turn them off but now it is better.
(got warning from State Farm that an IP address logged on, which I assume is me using all these devices, but the IP they say it is I cant find in my devices, if a device is disconnected from the network and reconnected does the IP change? Pretty sure nobody is trying to get into my account, it says IOS 16 and thats what we have. Deleted cache and cookies.

(49,036 posts)Your ip is blocked. It could just mean you tried to access a page that requires authentication. At least that is my understanding.

(49,036 posts)A secure page that you went to once before after logging into an account. Now when you are trying to go to the site it is trying to skip the sign in page.

(2,982 posts)or clearing the cookies for State Farm.
In chrome, you can get an incognito window from the file menu. If this works, then it is likely due to a cookie they have stored, are trying to use, but then have an error on their side. You can then clear cookies so you may not have to open an incognito window for them all the time.
To clear cookies for a particular site, open Chrome preferences, select privacy and security, then select cookies and other site data, then select see all site data and permissions. You can search for the state farm website in there and remove their data. This is better than simply clearing all cookies, because it doesnt log you out of everything.

(2,982 posts)Has the browser updated recently? Or is this a really, really old version of your OS? On one of my computers, I can only use Firefox for certain websites because it takes some OS update that Apple hasnt provided to that old machine.

(32,536 posts)I dont know what version of my OS is though, I have a pC, not sure where to look for that.
Popups, notifications and ads are blocked in site settings and I dont know how to change them, when I change it that doesnt work, always goes back to block.
