I can't get my iPhone to play on my car stereo.
I own a 2011 Acura TL that has a USB outlet in order to be able to plug in smart phones. For some reason, I can't get music from my iTunes account on my iPhone to play on my car stereo for any real length of time.
I've got the proper adapter and wire, and I can usually get the stereo to play most of a single cut. But then it stops, and I can't get any playback on the stereo, even when I can see it's playing back on the phone.
Any tips?

(13,786 posts)First, there could be a conflict between playing over the USB and bluetooth. You can maybe experiment with that.
I plugged the phone into the computer to do backups and it says that the connection dropped after yay number of minutes or seconds. This is pretty basic stuff. Tried a bunch of wires (they are not straight-through) SURPRISE!
Went to iCloud backups, because they supposedly work. Conspiracy antennas raised.
