Oh my, how I hate HP computers, but their printers?

I’m pretty much in love with. Just got my new one, took me 15 mins to set up and print ( even with LilBit’s supervisor skills).
The biggest thing I love, is their “Instant ink” program.

I had to get a new printer quick, so I ordered a “ compact 3700 series” yesterday. 70 bucks. Took me 15 mins to install. I was in the instant ink program when MrK was with us, I signed up again today. Got a 4 month free trial as I bought another printer.
This is how it works, they monitor the printer ink through the internet connection, when it gets low, HP sends ink to your address, you change cartridges, return the old ones in prepaid box to them, so they can recycle. And move on. In fact, I already have an email, ( cuz we all know starter ink packs) my ink is on the way.
Cost? Depends on how much you print. I chose the 100 pages a month, 5.99 a month. That we had before. I will probably drop back to 50 pages at 3.99, but I don’t have to trek out, find ink, when I needed to print something. The ink was always here, before I ran out.

I’m not promoting HP in anyway, as I said , I hate their computers. But after many hours with my mother, discussing with her, my printer died, and what ink does she need to buy? I kept telling her, get this one. Sign up for the Instant Ink.

It’s the 1 thing, in my mind, that HP, got right.

and it's wonderful. I especially like that it's a printer, copier, and scanner. I am constantly amazed that I can actually own such a thing, and that it sits on my desk, right next to where I'm typing this.

they claim the cartridges they send have more ink in them?

I never send cartridges back, I don't think that is required?
If I spend time going to the post office to send back empties, I might as well have gone to an office store, right?

I always worry I will totally run out of ink before another shows up.
Right now I have no cartridges in storage here.
But man the payments come out on time every month.

Just my opinion.
6 of one, half a dozen of another. Is how I see it.
But I mostly like my little Tango Printer except it does not function as a scanner, they give you some app to take pictures with your phone that is crap. So I needed a good photo scanner anyway to scan tons of old photo so for $100 I got a Plustek ephoto scanner and it can scan documents to pdf as well so that's how I overcame the Tangos deficit of no real scanning ability.

Isn't cool technology so cool?
