The received message is always intact. (Unless you delete it )

DU mail seems to be reliably delivered. I don't know what happens when someone blocks persons.

No confirmation.

Give it a try. You can cancel any time, or just leave or close the web page as well. Nothing goes out until or unless you hit SEND.

There is a copy of the sent mail in your "sent mail " mailbox. Look for it.

I like to keep the previous text in the mail. and I reply at the top adding a few spaces so the string can be read bottom to top. the system adds > as replies are continued. example:

most recent reply
>
>penultimate reply
>>
>>next reply
>>>
>>>first reply
>>>>
>>>>original message
