question about outdated (?) technology - seeking advice

I have a pedal computer control (don't know what it's called; it's for writing [word processing]) and a docking station. I want to get rid of them, but I don't want to throw them away if they can be used.

Can they be used? Is there a forum or something somewhere where I can list them, whether for sale or for free?

Any advice helps. Thanks!

I really don't have a good answer for you on how/where to list such an item but most municipal or county solid waste services will accept electronic items for recycling if you choose to go that route.

Would be any use, but parts could probably go to the recycler.

Docking station? To mount a loose hard drive? If it has SATA connectors (small & narrow) and is still working, someone could probably use it. If it has old IDE connectors (the big ones that came on the end of plastic ribbon cables) there wouldn't be many of these hard drives around any more and should probably be recycled for metal, wires etc.

Given the advice I've been getting, I think I'll just put them both in the electronic recycling.

6. Pedal?

I have several of the musical instrument variety, using one on the Roland Keyboard daily.
But it's just an open-closed switch.

The USB ones can be used as page-turners with software such as ForScore and perhaps with PDF-reading programs to flip pages.

I pay ForScore a little extra to get the "gesture" functionality, so a face gesture can turn pages.

I was looking into various pedal devices (USB seems to be the standard) until I found this feature.

I never looked into the details. I can't play fast enough, but I'm working on it.

I have a backup generator, so I can use the keyboard all the time.
And there's the analog piano!!! It's over 100 years old.

In a previous home, we didn't have backup power, so I played the piano the Mozart and Beethoven way.
With candlelight.
