I used my iPhone 11 to make a video the other night.
Somehow, I got it into the iCloud, but it will only stay until July 16th.
I am trying to post it so everyone can see it, but I have no idea how to do that.
I hope I'm in the right place to ask this!
TIA!

(120,821 posts)for opening an account. Then log in to your YouTube account and click on the camera icon with a plus sign in the top-right corner of the screen and select the Upload video option. Choose the video file from your computer by dragging and dropping or clicking the Select Files button to select it manually. You can add a title. Choose the correct audience (made for kids or not) and the privacy settings (public or private). In order to post it to DU you it will have to be public. Then save/publish. Once it's published you can just copy the YouTube URL to your DU post. Hope that helps. There are also some tutorials that describe this process.

Everything that's on icloud is available, like icloud files, mail and whatever pictures you saved there (and not just on your phone or computer)
On the computer, iphoto has become photos.app.
(*) I don't think that photos and videos shared from icloud are visible here on DU, so it would have to be sent elsewhere. and hosted there. Not a video person, but others will know.
On edit, my daughter used to use vimeo at work. At least they say no ads. Just passing along.

I will explore!
Thanks for your help, my dear usonian.

(13,782 posts)It looks like an arrow pointing down from a cloud.
Select the video, and click on download.
That should save it locally. (and permanently)
