when they instituted mandatory ads. also in the last week or so VERY slow starts and needing to reload page due to spinning death circle. mostly thought it was my internet but saw others actually on you tube complaining too.

Uninstalling them or at least disable until you've given UBlock a try. I used to have AdBlock plus - hopeless against YouTube 'monetization'.

i was using adblocker and adblocker plus. as of last year the ads were bad.

4. I don't get ads on-line with YouTube

I have no idea why.

I'm using a Desktop PC. I have "UBlock Origin". I also have "Enhancer for YouTube" but I only added that to Firefox and I use Chrome for YouTube. I read that the new versions of "Enhancer for YouTube" don't block the ads. My version did an update so?

I don't know if this works but if you use private or incognito it supposedly blocks the ads but it might block the more adult content? I have no way to check that since I don't see ads.

Of course I get YouTube ads when I use my Roku but they play normally as I wait for the "skip" button to show up.

I kept reading that YouTube changed so that uBlock didn't work anymore. I guess they were wrong.
