I have one and was told "No" by Time Warner. nt snappyturtle Sep 2013 #1
I wonder if that because TW wants to sell you theirs so it's in their interest to say say no? snagglepuss Sep 2013 #2

2Wire is DSL and as far as I know Time Warner is Cable

DSL and Cable are very different ways of doing things.

that can't be easily changed. For a definitive answer search for information on your router's exact specific
model number (on sites like broadbandreports.com).

The 2wires I have looked at are all telephone modems rather than cable modems.

I do tech support for a little ISP in SEK and we have several 2Wire DSL modems configured and serving our DSL customers.

One of our field techs was able to reconfig a 2Wire to be a WAP on the customer side of our wireless CPE, but that's more than we were able to support over the phone.

But what happens when the power blinks (we're in thunderstorm territory) and it loses it's configuration?
