So I traded-in my iPhone 6 Plus for a 6S Plus ...

big whoop, right? I would have kept the 6 Plus but it started acting crazy again ... as if it had a mind of it's own. Whether it was the reported "touch disease" or other malady caused by faulty engineering, who knows? I got some trade-in value for it too.

I have learned the 6S Plus is a tad thicker and heavier than the 6 Plus it replaced, and that speaks volumes (to me) that Apple realized the 6 Plus might have been too fragile and thin a design. This has been blamed somewhat on the touch disease I speak of.

I'm sharing this because 6 Plus users, and 6 users, may want to consider upgrading if 6S and 6S Plus prices continue to decrease. This is the last model with the standard headphone jack. It's a heck of a phone and one I think I can live with for a few years until Apple introduces the "next best thing."

Yeah, I would have gotten the 7 but it's sold out. I need a new phone now.

I think my problems started a little over a month ago. I rested my phone on a car a little too close to the edge and it fell to the ground. I think that was enough to screw up either the touch display or the workings underneath it. The 6 Plus is about everything you'd ever need. I hated to lose mine.

I watch movies and music videos on my phone all the time with headphones on and the new phones won't allow that.

It's either the headphone jack, my headphones, or the system software. I can hear people but they can't hear me. I have to restart the phone to get it working again.

I can be listening to tunein or a podcast with my EarPods in and sometimes when the phone rings and I answer, I can't hear anything on the call and they cannot hear me. If I then try to listen to anything, it doesn't work and I have to hard restart my phone so I can call the person back. It's a weird pain in the butt and the first issue I've had with an iPhone and I've had one since the 3.

Happens less when I have it turned off. Apple is moving away from wired add-ons as we all know -- I could easily believe there is a conflict between older phones and the OS.

Thanks for posting. I thought I was the only one with problems.

If you want to upgrade to the latest iPhone, you might need to set up the new iPhone. Besides, you might need to transfer some important data and files from your old phone to the new one. For example, the contacts on your old phone. In addition to iTunes, you can use a phone to phone data transfer tool. If you are bored with iTunes and iCloud, you can try something new. iPhone Data Transfer is a great iPhone data transfer app that can help you transfer data from old phone to new phone despite of platform: Android and iOS.
