Firewall for MacBook Air?

Hi, I am brand new to Mac and have a question. What firewall should I use on my Mac? I want one that is easy to understand and work. Right now, I have the built in OS firewall enabled. But are any third party ones better? I am avoiding Kaspersky due to the Russia thing, and Norton has always been a resource hog for me. Plus, during Trump I am not sure I want a third party American firewall either.

You can try FileVault in System Preferences, but be careful. Eyeball_Kid Feb 2017 #1

If you lose or forget your password, you cannot unlock FileVault.
