Apple Users
Related: About this forumHow do I get out of Password Hell?
I keep setting and resetting password and they do not match between my laptop and my iPhone.
I'm ready to scream. Looks like a lengthy call to Apple Support ... AGAIN.
I never had any problems before I downloaded the new IOS!
Right now, I'm locked out of Twitter.... I kept getting an email to reset, but when I clicked the button, nothing happened. Too many attempts so I'm locked out for an hour.
The biggest culprit seems to be Yahoo email. The want to sell me an upgrade. Should I just ditch Yahoo email?
Any advice will be appreciated, but sorry, I don't understand if it's too technical. Thank you so much.

I've been stuck in the same hell this week too, as I've deleted my FB account. Also my twitter so I could completely disassociate from it and open a new one under a fake name. My additional problem is with the verification key twitter sends to confirm the account since I cant use my cell phone from home, which they require.
I would like to be able to read tweets without necessarily being able to comment myself.
To avoid yahoo might you just want to create a new gmail account?
Feels.

(28,394 posts)It says to click on the "button." Not exactly a button, just a big blue square, and when I click on it nothing happens.
I hate to change my name on Twitter -- I wonder if I will lose all my followers.

(45,568 posts)you fix it better than we can.
FWIW your Apple ID/password are the same on all yr Apple devices, that is you only have one name and password for your Apple account (store etc). They can definitely troubleshoot that better than we can.
Fingers crossed for you!

(28,394 posts)I have a list of passwords here... some are different for the computer and the phone. That's probably the spanner in the works. I have to call Apple.

(28,394 posts)It's comforting that I'm not alone. I was feeling really stupid and frustrated.
It has gone beyond fixing it on my own, I'm afraid. I will call Apple Support (again.) It amazes me how patient they are with us "dummies." LOL
