Anyone going with the iPhone X now that it's available for order?

Personally I'm not.

I'm taking a break from Apple iPhones for the time being and have a Galaxy Note 8 now.

1. I like small ones, so I will stick with my iphone 5s until the 2nd gen iphone se comes out.

I have an ipad so I don't need a BIG phone.

2. I'm so far behind I'm still using a 5s.

I'll probably keep using it until it doesn't work any more.

3. Me too. If Apple treats their user base well, it could work for a long time.

Ordered mine at about 3:10am this morning when I finally got through. I ended up in the 2-3 week window, so I'll have it sometime around Nov. 17th.

I've been using the 7 Plus, so I'm looking forward to the smaller overall size of the phone.

Can't wait!

5. I think there are things for people to consider if the iPhone 10 is for them, or perhaps the iPhone

8, 8+, or Samsung 8, or note 8, etc.

For one thing, the iPhone 10 has either facial recognition to unlock the phone, or manually adding a passcode to unlock. It doesn't have a fingerprint unlock capability, which may or may not be a concern to some.

The iPhone 10 also doesn't have a standard headphone jack, but an adapter is needed to accommodate that. That should not be a showstopper, since they include the adapter, and can attach the adapter to the headphone, so it doesn't have to be removed and attached continuously.

On the top of the iPhone 10 in the middle, they have a permanent black bar, which contains various sensors for IR facial recognition, speakers etc. That may appear unsightly to some, and may distract from the viewing area.

Another issue is the iPhone 10 currently only comes in two types, 64 gig or 256 gig. They should have offered a 128 gig, since the iPhone x does not allow for an external memory card to expand memory like the note 8 does.

The iPhone 8 and 8+ is almost identical to the iPhone X, except it doesn't have the OLED screen, and the applications that utilize that.

Specification wise the Note 8 has more features, expanded memory card slot, pen, screen area, etc.

In the end it comes down to personal preference though

6. I was planning on buying an 8+ but grabbed a 7+ and got an iPad for $99 with it. Too good to pass up

You might be able to get a great deal on a 7+, which is cheaper to begin with. From what i've read, the 8+ is mostly the same phone, but with a glass back for the optional wireless charging, but obviously more fragile. The screens are the same and the cameras are nearly identical, but the processor on the 8 is faster.

The X was just too much money to me, and i figure the OLED screen will be integrated into all the phones in the subsequent generation.
