Anyone gone through the iPhone battery replacement program?

Theyseem to be making this more difficult than it needs to be

1. DUH...Apple wants you to buy a new iPhone?

2. for me, easy-peasy

I went to the local Apple store, told them I wanted a new battery for my iPhone 6. They ordered it for me; called me when it came in; I went in and dropped off the phone, wandered the mall for an hour and it was done when I got back. It did take about a week longer than they thought it would for the battery to come in to the store, probably because they had a lot of demand at the time (early February). I'm sorry your experience is not good.

3. Same experience as you...except they said it would take 2.5 months for the new battery.

Then they got the battery in 3-4 weeks, so that was a pleasant surprise. My office is literally the same building as the 59&5 flagship store in NYC, so it was very convenient for me.

4. Did it in February for iPhone 6.

Went smoothly; went online; requested callback.

They set up the order and contacted me by email when it arrived in the closest Apple store.

Went in without appointment; took two hours. Works great now with more speed and fast charge.

5. Walked in off the street to SF flagship store..

They said can’t just walk in, you need an appointment.

So I got online and made an appointment set the date and came back in. They looked at my phone took the information and said well they don’t have the batteries now we have to wait a couple weeks for the battery to come in.

About three weeks later the battery comes in. Email says to make an appointment by calling this number. No answer rolls to voicemail a couple times saying leave my information about when I want to drop off my phone

7. Frustrating to be sure!

Hope you get your battery soon. It really is a good deal; will revive your phone for sure and
extends its life by a couple of years.

6. Closest Apple stores are Austin and Houston about 100 miles.

I went online and found that Batteries + would do it with a discount. So I dropped in and they replaced it while I wondered around the store, about 50 minutes. With state sales tax $62.00 after the discount. Much cheaper gas wise and less aggravation driving 4 hours in Houston traffic to get it at $29.00. My 5s is working fine - I hope Apple keeps supporting it for a looooonnnngggg time.

8. I knew I'd find a post on iPhone battery on DU, so here's my dilemma ...

Iphone 5s, keep getting bogus battery readings on power level

I've had this phone maybe 5 ? Yrs now, 32 lifetime hrs, battery drains normally most of the time and then will inadvertently say it's really low like 12 or 9% or some dead % after a 2 minute internet on DU or FB or email jaunt...

so I plug it up and within minutes it says battery is charged at twice more the level it was before the activity.... I asked a coworker to witness this auto recharge to make sure I wasn't seeing something I wasn't seeing...

20% to 100% in 5 minutes?

tonite left work with 38% and drive home, plugged in phone at 3% and it slowly crawled to 23%... 20 mins? so I turn it off/ on reboot it...

took a leak , popped food in the oven and checked and I'm at 100% in 8? 10 mins?
I unplugged my iPhone at the start of this msg and 5 mins ltr it's still 100% battery...

other issues are that while it's plugged up recharging it gets fritzy as I type ( like this msg) and skips types multiple letters llllleeettteeerrrsss etc while I'm plugged up charging.... unplugged it's normal 🤔 ... one or the other of us is possessed I guess ...

should I replace the battery?

I got a new battery and threw a new Outter cover on it and it looks like new
