Lighter. Faster. Better Camera. New apps can run on them.

Fun to watch HD movies on them too. The entry level one is a good deal. I would personally recommend that one over the iPad air.

Operating system has a lot of useful features the older ones couldn't manage because of improvements in computing power.

My first saved picture says November 2013! I don’t have a lot of features so I can’t upload photos, etc on here but I totally rely on it. I would appreciate some info about this, too, although I’m not a wizzo w/ tech. Thanks for the post.. I’ll be checking up, too

Capacity of 16GB..I have available 5.31GB.. all I get from that is storage information, right? What really makes me a little hesitant is..just how do I transfer my info from one to a new one? Will I need tech support or just change the SIM card n notify my carrier? I do apologize up front.. tech has obviously past me by..no young kids around to keep me on top of all the jargon..I walk into a Best Buy n it’s like I’m on another planet 🤪

iPad Pro 11". SO much better....and you can keep the IOS up to date. Tons of new features. Well worth the upgrade.

The newish ones use a swiping motion to clear open apps. Anyone with disability will have a difficult time with this. My sister had limited use of her hands so I would put a sock on her hand with a hole for her finger. Her hand could rest on the screen without interfering with the process. She was able to use the button to easily clear open apps. The annoying slip to the corner would never have been possible for her.

The port where the plug is inserted is still weak point. I recommend getting the extended warranty because in my opinion it is designed to fail. I have had to replace my machine several times. Now I use screen imaging as much as possible to avoid stressing the port.

Here are two sites that cover the product history. You might be able to find a refurbished (best from apple themselves), a leftover new in the box or used, if you end up looking for say a late model with the old front button. You'd be suprised how good the ones halfway back are.
