What needs to occur for Kansas to elect a Democratic US Senator?

Kansas has not elected a Democrat to the US Senate since 1932(McGill-D).
The other states that currently have 2 Republican US Senators have elected a Democrat in
1970)UT(Moss-D) and WY(McGee-D)
1974)ID(Church-D)
1982)MS(Stennis-D)
1988)TX(Bentsen-D)
1990)OK(Boren-D) and TN(Gore-D)
1992)KY(Ford-D)
1998)SC(Hollings-D)
2006)NE(Nelson-D)
2008)AK(Begich-D),AR(Pryor-D),IA(Harkin-D),
LA(Landrieu-D),NC(Hagen-D) and SD(Johnson-D)
2012)FL(Nelson-D),IN(Donnelly-D),MO(McCaskill-D), and ND(Heitkamp-D).
2017 special election) AL(Jones-D)

KS has 2 top tier Democratic candidate for US Senator/ Laura Kelly-D and Sharice Davids-D).

Plus, Republican turnout needs to return to pre-2016 levels. That will do it.

Laura Kelly-D will be 76 when her 2nd term ends.
Her Lt Governor David Toland-D is likely to run for Governor in 2026.
US Representative Sharice Davids-D will be perfect future US Senate candidate depending on what happens to KS-3. If KS-3 becomes a lost cause for Democrats or becomes more safer for Democrats, Davids-D should consider running for the US Senate.

Female/Native American/LGBT/Progressive voting record??)

The biggest concern with Sharice Davids is whether she becomes another Kyrsten Sinema.

Sinema is a gay female from AZ who was Democratic friendly when she was in the US House to Republican friendly now that she is in the US Senate.

Is Davids going to abandon her Democratic principles the moment she becomes a US Senators?

Because she is gay? I see no other reason in your post when comparing her to Kyrsten Sinema.

I know her, barely but know people who know her and I have never heard a concern that she would do anything like that. Where is you concern coming from?

Davids is a member of the New Democratic coalition. New Democratic Coalition is for Moderate Democrats.

KS-3 and AZ-9 are Democratic leaning swing districts. KS statewide and AZ statewide are more Republican.

In order for Davids to keep getting elected or re-elected to the US Senate in KS is she has to remain as a moderate.

AZ is trending Democratic due to a growing Hispanic population so Sinema-D has not excuse.
Sinema is trying to be a maverick at the cost of the working class people in AZ and nationwide.
Before Kelly and Sinema, the last time AZ had a Democratic US Senator from AZ was in the early 1990s- Dennis DeConcini-D.
What type of US Senator was DeConcini?

to school in Kansas. Friends of mine lived in Wichita, Topeka, Lawence, and Pittsburg. Other family and friends have lived in various other parts of Kansas, and everybody has always seemed normal, decent people.

Perhaps the 'democrat' tag is enough to hurt any candidates for office in Kansas, which I do believe, since I don't really see a very strong national democratic party stepping in very often, anywhere, to be honest. It's kind of disappointing that IMHO, that I don't see more exposure, more democratic leaders speaking out more forcefully against republican adventurism. Maybe I'm wrong.
