1. I remember attending a seminar at graduate school in 1978 and a representative of the ANC

was spreading Mandela's message of no retribution but a new start for all whites and blacks.

It just seemed impossible that such a message of grace could exist under such oppression.

Absolutely breathtaking to watch come to reality.

And, on Mandela's 95th Birthday when he's been making a remarkable recovery after being "so close to death".
