a recurring theme throughout his presidency, where his biggest detractors on the Left always go nuts before all the facts come in, and before things actually happen. As for me, I have been waiting and seeing what is going to happen with Syria before drawing my conclusions one way or the other. I don't work inside government. I am not the President or an elected member of Congress, so of course I would not know what is going on behind the scenes or what these people are thinking.

I bookmarked that thread to keep my faith up as the media pushed Romney and Ryan, the killers, no matter how ridiculous. No matter the Tea Party and their blatant acts of intimidation and stealing the rights of voters.

Just like I was worried to death in 2008 about Palin and her klan rallies, I was wrong and never more grateful to be so. My heart really needed that thread, so I bookmarked it and recommended it every chance I got.

Now we have been under attack for over 4 years and the enemies of equality have not rested, but are fought back. The forces for war and misery, are dueling us and we are taking many blows.

This president was placed in office to do what has to be done, no matter what way it will be done. I have grown watching this man perform his tasks, I have come to see the past and present and future in my own way.

Let's keep our eyes on what is best, life, love and liberation. Benjamin Franklin said, 'There is no such thing as a good war or a bad peace.' Obama will do what's necessary to get us where we need to be, without ego.

He is the most intelligent man I have seen in office, and the firmest in his faith. I saw a video of him counting his days in office that are left. He will achieve his goals. I miss him already.

Before my tv croaked this evening, I heard President Obama on the ABC Evening News telling Dianne Sawyer essentially that if Assad can be persuaded to turn over his arsenal of nerve gas, there might not be a need for a military strike at all. Wouldn't that be great? After all the disaster predictions and maledictions, if President Obama pulls this off it could well be his greatest foreign policy victory. And wouldn't the rethugs choke themselves! They run around in circles, hair afire, screaming "Look at us! Look at us! We know the way, not Obama!"

In an earlier thread this morning I crowed that the day was off to a good start. Well, it went gangbusters until my tv croaked about 7 pm. But the one local small department store has 19"ers on sale for $169, so I'm STILL happy as a clam. I'll buy one first thing tomorrow morning. And it could've been much worse. What if the tv had quit just before the big speech tomorrow evening? Then I would've thrown it into the middle of the street in a mad fit. Yes, I have 2 much larger tvs but they're not yet hung on the walls, and with a JRT oversize puppy around, you don't leave anything valuable on a table where she can reach it. A 4' jump is nothing to her. I caught her on the kitchen table yesterday! Several months ago I boxed up the 2 big ones and put them away for now. For everyday use, more like a radio anyhow, I'm quite content with a 19" on a high bookshelf. Save the big ones for movies, up on the wall and out of harm's way. Someday soon.

13. Pardon me for second-guessing....

but I have to wonder if the $169 (or less) would be better spent having a handy person hang the two larger tvs and have the jobs finished. Would the Amish men accommodate on a last minute request? Really, only one needs to be hung for tomorrow's speech.

And that's a very good idea. I'd take you up on it in a heartbeat if someone could be found to do the work on such short notice. However, I've figured out a partial temporary solution: tonight for the speech I'll put the dogs in their big baby bed in the living room - I put a cover on it so they can't jump out. Then I'll drag out one of the big tvs, place it on the floor, and pack it back up afterwards before I let the dogs back out.

This morning I passed on the local store's 19" because last night online I found a 7" tv-dvd combo with the very important removable external antenna. Meaning I could hook it up to the regular box antenna in the window if need be. You can only get ABC and CBS out here w/o either a giant outdoor antenna or satellite or cable. Most of that I don't have or really need. Since I enjoy multi-tasking anyway, most of the time I only use a tv like a radio so why on earth do I need a big picture for that? That's my best online time w/o wasting time, and I still practice the ancient art of needlework, so a 7" tv will do fine. The DVD player was just gravy.

I can also keep the tv closer and therefore the volume lower, which helps me keep track of what the dogs are doing outdoors. One nasty neighbor who calls in noise complaints if anyone's dog barks hardly at all, so I have to be able to prove it wasn't MY dogs barking for long stretches. Besides, there are a couple very large free range dogs in town that could jump inside our fence and pick a fight if they felt so inclined. Two little dogs have been killed that way since I moved here 8 years ago. Small percentage but still can't be too careful.

Now MY apology for rambling. You can imagine I'm frustrated by Twitter.

Now, we all hope Prez BHO (as well as Sec. Kerry) has it all worked out as to how to rid the world of Syrian (and other) chemical weapons while keeping the hounds nipping at him at bay for the present & future.

I've also got the campaign poster where he's in his usual suit and tie & sunglasses, leaning back against the side of a building, with the caption "Bringing back smart is cool". But maybe my favorite is the one from a speech where he's looking soooo constitutional-law professorial. I loved school. Nuns said I was the only kid they ever knew who cried at the END of the first day of school. But in my little kid's mind I'd been seized by the terror that maybe some people only got to go to school one day and I refused to get on the bus until they promised me faithfully that I could come back again.

When he speaks tonight, he will still say he'll use force if needed, to keep everyone on track. He's doing this at the expense of his own popularity, which I admire.
