(9,916 posts)She does our country proud! Thanks for posting these photos. I haven't been so enchanted by a first lady since Jackie Kennedy, all those years ago.

(37,468 posts)She could easily be President too, IMHO.

Nanjing to Seoul
(2,088 posts)At least, the best of the best from the upper class. There are no kids from underclass families in that school at all. I've been there twice on a workshop when I taught at Hebei Normal University. . .the place is absolutely amazing.
I'm glad the trip to the Forbidden City was enjoyable too. Been there more times than I care to say, and each time I learned something new.
I hope she learned how to write Chinese correctly. Get the stroke order wrong and you'll hear about it. Top to bottom, left to right outside to inside. That's the order.
Finally. . .what day can be complete without ping pong or badminton?
I figure we'll get some nice photos of her at the Xi'an Bell Tower, Drum Tower, City Wall and Terracota Warriors as well on her next leg.
cheapdate
(3,811 posts)imaginable because it "it toughens up children". You said that she (Michelle Obama) wants school officials in the United States to commit fraud including "forging teacher letters of recommendation" and "creating fraudulent transcripts". You said she favored corporal punishment and "using students as unpaid janitorial staff in the classrooms, halls and bathrooms".

Correct?
Nanjing to Seoul
(2,088 posts)Do you teach in China? I do? Seven years. In Shijiazhuang, Nanjing and Suzhou. What is your point?
And why are you stalking me? Never mind. You're on ignore.

(53,616 posts)Cheapdate spoke for me and I imagine a lot of folks here when pointing out that what you said yesterday about FLOTUS on this issue was shameful and disgusting.
I notice you have not deleted that post yet.

Damn! Those girls are growing up! So lovely!
As an American woman, I feel EXTREMELY well-represented by our First Lady. Sure didn't feel that way during the bush/cheney years.
