Barack Obama
Related: About this forumStayed up all night reading Cruz FB page
40k plus posts on Cruz FB page. He asks folks if they're better off now with Obamacare. Thousands of amazing responses telling how ACA has saved their lives, their kids, friends and neighbors. Overwhelmingly positive feedback from real people who now have access to affordable care. Saved 1249 responses in a WORD file before I stopped for the night. Trying to save everything before they take this page down. Encourage all to read the replies from so many folks who have been helped. Will try to link to the DU page.. Peace, Hannah

(124 posts)Joe Nocera in NYT writes his gun column tallying the latest numbers so we don't lose sight of what is happening. The Ted Cruz Facebook page has given us at least 30,000 positive stories about how Obamacare has changed people's lives (friends, neighbors, kids, etc.) where could we publish several of these stories each day, so they could receive widespread notice? All ideas welcome! Peace, Hannah
Ps would Wonkblog in the WP be receptive? Ezra Klein is gone but they still follow healthcare pretty closely.

(6,151 posts)I look forward to hearing more from you. Actually, anybody brave enough to open the door on Cruzland has my admiration. That guy has to be as crazy a loon as hell ever set loose. I mean a downright crackpot. He even looks like Tailgunner Joe, not to mention talking and 'thinking' like him. And I hear his old man's even worse. Good and double-good on you and others for taking down those stories, because you can bet your life they won't stay up long. I once sneaked onto the Blaze and posted lovely liberal thoughts, and Beck (or an underling in disguise) started sending me thinly veiled threats via return email. He'd probably still be at it if I hadn't threatened legal action.
While I'm at it - does anyone remember where to find that site (if it still exists) where you could enter your name in the dialog box and the short video would feature Beck blasting away at you by name? He'd explain how 'you' were the anti-Christ and all sorts of loony junk. I thought it was hysterical, but I lost the bookmark somewhere and can't find the place anymore.

(53,661 posts)Being a United States Senator is a much more powerful position than a governor on the national stage. Governors can do upfront damage to one state, Senators can hurt all the states. Cruz shot right up to the top and is in no danger of being put out of office.
Expect him to run for POTUS before it's all over. Only saving grace is that Cruz and Christie wouldn't run together as a team, they'd both insist being top of the team. Still looking at the piss ant varmint turned termite Rand Paul for the GOP top spot.
Putin - Palin would make a better team. The GOP requires a father figure and Sarah's their Madonna:

(82,383 posts)One person in the military claimed Obama "screwed her over" and the comments are great. A couple of them inform her that she has the most socialized health care in the US and that it was the Republicans who cut benefits to Veterans.

(94,519 posts)Those few Kool-aid drinkers who support Cruz are quickly shot down by the myriads who live in the fact-based world, and see the benefit to themselves and others. It's amazing and gratifying. Thanks for the link, Hannahcares, and welcome to DU.
