2. An exeptional president ...

... and an amazing man.

He has accomplished so much, and has done so not only with a sense of determination and commitment, but with grace and style.

I cannot think of another man who could have handled the challenges he has faced as POTUS as well as he has - and those challenges have been many.

Let the naysayers carry on as they've a wont to do - Obama's achievements speak for themselves.

It's pretty awful outside this room, but the BOG is always warm and cheerful.

It's nice to know there is one small room still left in the asylum where the insanity is not allowed to prevail.

10. Thanks for supporting this unique individual. In that same vein, I'll post another OP showing why.

In that same vein, I'll post a thread showing how he developed some unique characteristics that make him an effective leader, and able to get things done without requiring any adulation.

Wherein the 'vein' is a pathway, an idea that a thought introduced takes a similar pathway. I'll post it sometime today.

Glad to see you following the BOG and will make more efforts to post here.

he's compromised far too much, far too far. Truly sorry; but look at his appointments. Summers? Geithner? Arne Duncan? Tom Wheeler? et al., all in CRITICAL areas; and those appointees have already done, or are on the brink of doing, horrific damage. (Dear Pres. O.: have you no power at least to forestall the inestimable harm your appointee, Wheeler, is trying to do to the internet?? Pls listen to someone besides your donors/sycophants/people who aren't really paying attn to the future of humanity??? Do you have access to an internet that you're sure isn't filtered???? NO YOU DO NOT. I doubt you can overestimate how much you DON'T control.)

Somehow Obama got Sotomayor and Warren right; but, it seems, against his own odds.

He's no Jimmy Carter; but he's up against much more, now.

Shades of Bush's paintings.

Here's hoping he manages to figure it out before he can't do anything about it.

8. I think you have wandered into the wrong group.

Groups serve as a safe haven for DUers who share similar viewpoints. I suggest you read the statement of purpose for the BOG:

"The mission of the Barack Obama Group is to discuss information and news about the life, career, accomplishments, and presidency of Barack Obama; to provide a haven for those members of Democratic Underground who support the president and his policies; to discuss President Obama's policy positions, speeches, interviews, and other public appearances; to discuss President Obama's political campaigns; and to discuss the causes which President Obama has championed, including health care reform and ending the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Those who have a generally negative view of President Obama and his administration, support his defeat in the 2012 presidential election (in primaries or the general election), or who are generally supportive of those who do, are not welcome in the Barack Obama Group."

DU is quite large. I am sure you can find a group or forum that is a better fit for you.

17. No problem.. I was able to get on DU a few minutes last night

and made the most of it.

And, I finally made it on right now after trying for an hour. The bad news is I'm reading Skinner thinks there's no problem at their end but there's a whole thread where lots of people are having major problems and only with DU. And, several posts in ATA saying the same.. it's soooo Frustrating.

So it continues..

I read some of the problems in ATA too.

Try to ask some of the great minds in the computer groups, they helped me before.

Hugs~
