Scheduled for Jan 22, 2015
YouTube creators Bethany Mota, GloZell Green and Hank Green interview President Obama about the top issues facing them and their audiences.
Live on Thursday, Jan 22, 2015 at 5pm ET.
Watch the livestream at 5 PM Eastern Time and I'll post the video when available. There was a series of Q&A's with Obama after the SOTU, but I haven't posted them with that thread here. It was one video for every question and IDK if there is sufficient interest.
PBO is well able to explain to those capable of understanding the kind of complex issues he deals with. I miss him already. He is very aware of the limited time frame alloted to accomplish his goals, and the views of the American people... and those of the world.
*Yes, it's the BOG. You know the drill.*

(3,919 posts)the president is taking the high road and not allowing his agenda to be bogged down by ridiculous right wing arguments/distractions & calls for war.
he has his eye on the prize for all americans - jobs on our soil, reboosting the middle class, protecting our resources & our soil.
president obama sees the handwriting on the wall. all of it. and he gets it. for example, the xl pipeline - how often and for how long were we led to believe by msm that he favored this diabolical scheme? but, he really did not say one way nor the other - just kept and open mind. he has since made up his mind an the money grubbers don't like it one bit. ha.ha. ropin' a dope.

(87,336 posts)Following his historic State of the Union address earlier this week, President Barack Obama welcomed a trio of popular YouTube creators to the White House for a series of sit-down interviews with questions dictated by the YouTubers' audience.
The president was not advised of the questions ahead of time, and he faced inquiries about national and cyber security, marijuana, police brutality and racial bias, relations with Cuba, and, thanks to comedian GloZell Green, a query about the future of marriage equality.
Green, whose YouTube channel has more than 3.3 million subscribers, asked the president if he believes same-sex marriage will become the law of the land in all 50 states before he leaves office. She noted that the question "depends on the Supreme Court," which recently announced it will hear marriage equality cases from four states and issue a decision that could determine the fate of marriage equality nationwide.
After extolling his administration's support for marriage equality from refusing to defend the Defense of Marriage Act to the president's personal "evolution" to support marriage equality in 2012 Obama got down to speculating.
"My hope is that they go ahead and recognize what I think the majority of people in America now recognize, which is two people who love each other and are treating each other with respect and arent bothering anybody else, why would the law treat them differently? the president said.
