7. She hugged the Queen. Even though it is apparently against royal protocol, Michelle hugged Queen Elizabeth during the G-20 reception in 2009. A Buckingham Palace spokesperson told the Huffington Post, "It was a mutual and spontaneous display of affection. We don't issue instructions on not touching the queen."

22. She keeps Barack in check. Michelle offered her husband some tender advice just before he went onstage to give the keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention: "Just don't screw it up, buddy."

Unfortunately, so many girls just like me and like many of you — girls who are so curious and hungry to learn, and so willing to work hard — never have the chance to get an education. Right now, 62 million girls worldwide are not in school at all. Many of them simply can’t afford the school fees (unlike in America, where every student can go to school for free, in many countries, parents have to pay to send their children to school). Sometimes, even if their parents can afford it, the nearest school might be miles away, and it’s simply not safe for girls to walk there and back each day. Sometimes, a school will be located nearby, but it might not have bathrooms for girls, so they simply can’t attend. And in some countries, girls are forced to get married and have children at a young age — sometimes before they’re even teenagers — instead of getting an education.

Back during the 08 election before the primaries they had a round table talk of both the dem and GOP spouses. A few weren't there like Bill for one. It was the 1st time I saw her being herself with a wide variety of topics. She was the most impressive. Surprisingly Cindy McCain and Ann Romney were also smart and very likeable. Fred Thompsons and Dennis Kucinishs wives were both uncomfortable. Michelle was the star though.
I think she's stunning. I love that she is a role model for women around the world. She's genuine and warm.

Ann Romney as likeable. I cannot abide the woman. Even more unlikeable than her husband. Makes Nancy Reagan seem warm and fuzzy. For the record, I think Laura Bush is a woman of class and grace (her only deficiency is her taste in men) and she was, maybe, still, is a Democrat. Likewise, Cindy McCain appears to be a nice woman with terrible taste in men.

And I agree with the rest of you: Michelle Robinson Obama is awesome in every way. I met Dennis Kucinich and his wife at the Cleveland airport. Frankly, by their body language, I am surprised that they are still together.

Michelle Obama is just the coolest First Lady ever! And wow she is one good looking lady. What I like about her the most is the warmth thats in her eyes all the time, right from the soul.

She is so awesome in seemingly every way, I'd say the Prez is a lucky man!
