Sigh

Neither of my daughters picked up my political bug. Besides the political campaign we have to tolerate an evil Billionaire in Thailand who is trying to buy the government lock stock and barr ell so after my wife heard the story about Seamus my wife didn't want to hear anymore about the election, she was already fed up.

So when I talk to my daughters on the phone I can HEAR the eyes rolling, "yes Dad, I registered".

Well today I talked with my daughter and for the first time she was jacked. "This is important Dad I have to vote on Tuesday".

After years of dinner talks, forcing them to read books, even going to the High School and shout down and destroy two conservative social study teachers in two different schools and dragging them to anti war demonstrations my daughter was energized by Cher and Cathy.

I am sure you have seen it before but I had to post it again.

I could have saved all of that energy and frustration by simply emailing them a video of Cher.

Who knew?

Sigh.

I just hadn't watched it yet. I laughed out loud at the end. It really is excellent!

You, who are on the road, must have a code, that you can live by.
And so, become yourself, because the past, is just a good bye.
Teach, your children well, their father's hell, did slowly go by,
And feed, them on your dreams, the one they picked, the one you're known by.
Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh, and know they love you.

And you, of the tender years, can't know the fears, that your elders grew by.
And so please help, them with your years, they seek the truth before they can die.
Teach, your parents well, their children's hell, will slowly go by.
And feed, them on your dreams, the one they picked, the one you're known by.
Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh, and know they love you.

She riffs on celebrities and has a huge gay following.

She makes fun of herself as well proclaiming herself the most famous person on the "B" list, which she may well be.
