In last week's Washington Post report on the heaving, jostling Capitol media mob, one journalist predicted that we are one tripped senator away from losing our access.
It might take even less.
Multiple reporters tweeted Tuesday that they were ordered not to approach senators for impromptu on-camera interviews in Capitol hallways because of new Senate Rules Committee restrictions that require advanced permission to ask questions. Here's a description of the scene, from NBC's Kasie Hunt:
