Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumChuck Todd basically just shut Andrea Mitchell up about "tight race between Hillary and Bernie"
She was doing her usual "ignore that the race is over at 8pm Tuesday night in New Jersey/Bernie might win Ca and Oh Noes" spiel. Todd stopped her and said that yesterdays speech took the air out of the CA primary and that the primary race now seemed really really small because the general is on! He also said that Hillary proved that she is the one to beat Trump!
I think everything is changing and the Democratic party's attacks on Trump this week with Hillary's awesome speech finally but an end to Bernie and crushed Trump.

(30,175 posts)She (her company) earned over a million from Sanders. Is she no longer working for him? Is that why Chuckie is not dissing Hillary?
mercuryblues
(15,122 posts)but I suspect it is. Bernie is cutting back spending. Todd stops dissing Clinton every single chance he gets. The 2 could be related, or not.

(24,630 posts)The GE will be on, and the only press Sanders gets will be about his campaign debt, his dead ender/sore loser status and questions about his importance at the convention.

(305,447 posts)That's what Hillary was doing besides just being brilliant... showing the country that she Is the One to beat the "Vulgar talking Yam"!
Thank you for this Walk away... Looking forward to the end of burnie.. I don't think he's ending anything on his own.
I keep hoping to see a giant hooked cane appear from offside to pull him off his podium, or someone to hit the trap door button. He isn't leaving on his own is right! Time to take the mic from out of his hands.

p.s. I love being on the "Smart Side" again! That's 3 in a row!!!!

(305,447 posts)why doesn't Todd?
What do you mean .. on the smart side?
Walk away
(9,494 posts)and the entire Democratic party is out to top him!
The one good thing about Bernie is that he had no support from the party at all. They are all already on board.

(9,494 posts)Joe was in hiding and Mika was heaping praise on Hillary and calling for the Republican party to find another candidate and get rid of Trump. She basically said that the entire GOP looked like lying assholes for endorsing Trump.
The entire morning was awesome clips of Hillary's speech and praise....then ripping Trump apart for the entire week and calling Ryan weak and wrong.
p.s. Bernie no longer exists
Cha
(305,447 posts)I remember tales of Mika sucking up to trump.. and hating on Hillary!
It's like a 180!
Ryan.. lol, I saw on the Obama Diary where he endorsed trump.. oh boy. What can they do.. he's the nominee they're stuck with.
I'm so happy for those of you who watch those shows.. you got to see great tv.. and it's all Hillary's fault!
sarae
(3,284 posts)but Walk Away did a good job of reporting what Mika said. Mika basically said it was one of her best speeches, and that Hillary's done what 16 Republican candidates couldn't do knock Trump down. I was a little in shock that she said all that, considering it was Mika.
Apparently, Trump's not very happy with Mika or Joe right now...

DT's not happy with anyone right now...Hillary's giving him just enough rope to hang himself and he's too stupid to realize it.

(16,104 posts)Trump/Clinton debates on primetime national broadcasts will be the 'jewel in the crown' of network media political coverage through November.
I would expect some real groveling regarding both candidates going forward - it's still "all about the Tubman's!"

(16,104 posts)I bet the M$M is considering the very real chance of no presidential debates!
You can bet there would be no substantive exchange between Hillary and Trump at a debate - it would just be 'an entertainment.'
The way Hillary described Trump yesterday, some must be advising her not to elevate his status as a viable candidate, which a debate would do!
Here's the next 'tell' I'm watching for from M$M. The 'email story' fades away!
Cha
(305,447 posts)You have me in a whole new line thinking now..
I hope the emails do fade away asap.. I'm sure trump will be lying about them @ the debates though.. will trump go berserk @ debates or will he try to rein in his proclivity for making a giant a$$ of himself.. the tension mounts..
Hillary will just be Hillary.. takin' care of business.

(11,483 posts)between Mitchell and Todd because Andrea Mitchell always looks as if she's sucking a pickle while making comments about HRC. There's some sort of bad blood there. Not to say that Chuck Todd is all that neutral in Clinton coverage, but Mitchell takes the cake.
It's amazing how a single speech, a single political/policy presentation can change the entire dynamic in any election cycle. This was Hillary's finest moment to date and it has changed everything. I'm betting it was a prologue of things to come: The Donald's obliteration. Curious, too, that St Bernard has fallen off the map in the same moment. Any Democrat who thought Hillary Clinton would be swamped by The Hair That Ate New York woke up to a brand new day.
I'm loving it!

Pure political genius. She shone a light on him as bright as a thousand suns and left him and his whole sorry lot with their bits on the floor, unable to speak.
