Is Bernie the new Mondale?

Mondale was the last Democrat to run on raising taxes on the middle class. He won one state. That would have been Bernie's fate if he had been able to win the nomination. Fortunately he wasn't able to pull it off.

The GOP would have a field day with that one too. I guess it doesn't mater to Bernie how poor people live.

Two very different things. Bernie's ideology is extreme. Most of his supporters don't even understand how much.

11. Bernie's is on record saying he would raise our taxes to pay for free college for EVERYONE.

That would virtually guarantee that he would lose to Trump. Also...Do the college students who are singing his praises realize that even if he were able to accomplish that (in La La Land), they would be out of college and having their own taxes raised to pay for someone else "free college" by the time any of that would come to fruition? They seem to be pretty selfish and if they are only thinking about themselves....Why are they stuck on Sanders? Frankly, I think some are just into the "Sanders Fad". It's the cool think to do if you are 19.

He also supports Hillary.

Mondale stays in close touch with many of his political friends. He's already committed his support to Hillary Clinton in her newly announced run for the White House. "She's had a lot of needed experience in government. I think she's going to do very well," Mondale said.

Mondale. Mondale has always been a Democrat and has always supported Democrats. He has never been an opportunist.

...just think how much better off we would all be if he had unseated St. Ronnie. Mondale would have been a good president. About the only positive thing I can say about Bernie is that he'd be better than tRump. It is so good that the last sentence can be offered in the subjunctive mood.
