Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumRachel Maddow just gave a tutorial about how the super delegates are going
to put Hillary over the top and make her the presumptive nominee. She did a nice job explaining it, but she sure wants to play it straight down the middle and not do any rah-rah for Hillary. Hopefully after June 7, she will come out in strong support of Hillary. She knows right now Hillary is the nominee...She just doesn't want to tick off Bernie and his bots.

(2,542 posts)If I recall, it was allegations by the Sanders campaign that they hadn't tried to compete at all in those Southern states, after Maddow and her show reported on the Sanders campaign efforts in all of those states, that became one of the first signs of Maddow's inevitably change of heart over not-so-subtly backing Bernie Sanders. Rachel was PISSED that the Sanders campaign made her look foolish by claiming that what she reported was not true.

Rachel isn't impelled to one side or the other because of any "newsman's code". She says what she does because of personal preference, her view of the facts, her stations preferences or ratings.

I donated to the Clinton campaign tonight as a reminder to myself to *calm down* and think of what's best for the county moving forward, because if I don't, I will have an anger-driven heart attack short term.
