Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumI watch sanders every day and noticable he is coming unglued and the wheels are coming off
he is evolving into this guy with decades of pent up frustration and dislike of the "establishment" as he can not handle the rejection and defeat. "The Socialist Worker Party" bernie sanders is now taking over where he will find joy in teaching america a lesson as he continues to attack our democratic nominee in hopes of weakening hillary as much as possible giving trump room to squeak out the win....
the typical "teach us all a lesson" mentality that zealots have, yes bernie is a zealot as we are witnessing. Sanders need to take a time out after hillary wins the nomination tuesday. Take a couple days off in vermont and do some self-reflection and ask yourself do you want to be responsible for a president trump...that is the way history will treat you....as a modern day Benedict Arnold...who allowed a despot to change the course of american history

(15,438 posts)I dated a SWP guy a zillion years ago in college. Everything was black/white with no in-between, he was right and the world was wrong. I was wondering who the Bernistas reminded me of, now it's clear. I have no idea whatever happened to my long-ago ex but I don't think he saved the world.

(10,437 posts)immediately after he announced....I think the fear at the time was sanders would turn tale and pull a third party....which is of course he may still do..
there are people with character and class and there are those who lack it.....sanders is quickly falling into the later

Bernie has no one to blame but himself. But can you even imagine how he would have reacted to Trump's name-calling, etc. tactics?
And they are nothing compared to what the GOP establishment would have sent his way. Nothing.

(15,438 posts)still swooning over him. She's far too smart for that. But once the G.E. begins and he's sent back to VT, I'm certain she or her allies will make it very clear to him he's messed with the wrong people and Party. And it would be justified.
There's a reason why Republican moneymasters and their lackeys (all U.S. Media) fear the Clintons and have supported Senator Obama in 2008 and now Sanders in 2016. The Clintons are known to hit back hard against their enemies.
Just as we saw how he really is by looking at the lack of endorsements from longtime colleagues and what they've said about him, we need to look at how the media (the propaganda outlets for Republicans still posing as our long-dead 4th estate) is covering Hillary Clinton vs covering Sanders. She won't forget.

I think Obama said something like
let fools talk , let them talk and they will expose themselves for the fools they are.

(9,148 posts)At the rate he's going, by the time the convention takes place, his delegate #'s will have been peeled off to resemble his glorious VI percentage of an embarassing 12%.
America is more than happy to keep giving him more & more rope.
Go down in flames camp bernie..go down in a brief, insignificant & embarassing poof of flames, as America rolls on stronger with the brilliant Hillary Clinton leading the way.

I was told recently here by a somewhat delusional Sandersnista on this website that "FDR would have voted for Bernie" because Henry Wallace was his VP.
I had this reply: I suggest you read history before speaking for FDR.
What a tremendous response you posted!

(10,324 posts)Only as a presidential candidate. In Iowa he is revered as a humanitarian and scientist. He had an interesting and important life, starting with learning plant genetics from his mother and following George Washington Carver around when Carver lived with his family as a college student. We take great pride in the Wallace family and their impact on agriculture in the US and the world.

(34,681 posts)I would question the "humanitarianism" of someone who opposed the Marshall Plan, calling it, in Sanderseque terms, a program for the benefit of "war mongers and money changers."
I don't think that subjecting Greece - for just one example - to the "benefits" of Stalinism would have had a humanitarian outcome.
By 1952, the Western European nations had economies that surpassed their 1938 economies, despite having been devastated by the worst war in world history.
The number of wars - hardly humanitarian in their nature - was zero.
As a scientist, I can say there is very little in his scientific work which would have remained undiscovered by other competent scientists.
Have a nice afternoon.

(11,483 posts)I still think Bernie has a chance to pull this out, show some courage and character and get on board in the fight to defeat Donald Trump. Of course, he must drop the fairytale that somehow the primary is still winnable. He needs to communicate that reality to his supporters and he needs to offer a full-throated endorsement of Hillary Clinton, following her example in 2008.
I've always said we would see what Bernie Sanders was truly made of once the primary ended. Because losing really is a test of character. This is a choice for Sanders, whether he offers an open hand or a clenched fist. Whatever legacy he may have following the primary and into the future hangs on that choice.
Btw, I read last night that on Wednesday morning the Democratic Party is ready to shift completely to a GE footing. President Obama, Harry Reid and Joe Biden will come out strongly for Clinton and the party structure and funding apparatus will go into battle posture against all things Trump.
Then the main event really begins.
