Hello, dears. VP pick time. Who, why, when, and what would help the ticket?

My gut choice is the handsome and dynamic Julian Castro. I would like to see someone that could not only help take TX and the latino vote, but be someone that could be president in 2025.

I don't see the sense in rewarding her cowardice with a spot on the ticket. She should have endorsed before or right after MA's primary.

ETA: Warren had a chance to stand up to the noxious BernieBro phenomenon, and whiffed. Badly. Too afraid to lose her standing in a movement that was going to throw her under the bus no matter what happened. Maybe a few more years in the Senate and she can grow a backbone.

She is certainly in a better position to make the case for party unity(something she's already starting to do with her recent speeches on Trump) than she would have if she'd endorsed earlier.

He's intelligent, level-headed, charismatic, and poised. He is no light-weight.

I think he would solidify the Hispanic vote but also appeal to the younger voter.

It'll be either Cory Booker or Tim Kaine, personally I'm leaning towards Cory Booker

his hand. He is right up there with President Obama on the hunkiness scale. He is going to be California's next Governor when Brown's term ends. He is the former mayor of San Francisco and he is VERY liberal. But he probably wouldn't be liberal enough for the Berniebots because...well...nobody is perfect like Bernie.

He's got a messy personal scandal back in his history, it blew over in CA, but it would probably tank him nationally.

When Al Gore felt he couldn't ask Bill Clinton to campaign for him because of the blue dress and other republican-led witch hunts, the party turned to Joe L. to be our moral center. I loved Joe, I campaigned for Joe, but he went from being our moral center in 2000 to speaking at the republican convention and endorsing John McCain for president in 2008.

the Republican governor of Ohio would replace his Senate seat with a Republican. Hmmmmmmmm. George Clooney? Just kidding, but ya know there is a portion of the electorate that wants to vote for a celebrity. Let's see... orange, obnoxious, bigoted, stupid reality show celebrity Trump or handsome, intelligent, great guy celebrity Clooney? Could be a game changer.

But, I think it would be nice if Hillary would pick someone who wasn't in our Senate with a repub gov.

I hope she gets someone really great and compatible like Joe Biden has been for President Obama.

They are great friends and Joe's been an excellent VP.

Tim Kaine, if he can attack hard enough and be a bit more dynamic, would be a great choice. He brings regional balance as a southerner from VA, has a great relationship with the Hispanic community and speaks Spanish, would be replaced in the Senate by an appointment from a Dem governor, and is from a swing state so could help turn it blue for us.

Schweitzer brings outsider and regional balance and could help turn Montana blue which is possible.

Another good choice might be governor Inslee from Washington though Washington is already a blue state. He does bring regional balance.

Beccera is very impressive, but can he attack hard enough? He brings regional balance, but CA isn't a swing state.

In a perfect world, I'd pick Sherrod Brown, but he'd be replaced by an R governor who would appoint an R and we don't want to lose that seat in the Senate.

I say Kaine and Schweitzer are the best choices.

It will be very hard for the GOP to sell the Democrats as against small business people, against guns, against farmers, etc., etc., etc., if a small businessman and farmer who hunts is on the ballot. Plus he's entertaining as all get out.
