(27,258 posts)I'm hoping the site they are going to is a big success. I'm wondering, though. The most prolific posters seem to me to thrive on conflict. Without anyone to troll, where's the fun for them? I don't know, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Read that thread and tell me how they have been victimized by Clinton supporters; how Skinner's amnesty has allowed Clinton supporters to mean TO them; how his hides are for just swearing, not vile posts.
More like he/she knows their days are numbered under that name, big public goodbye. A new poster will rise out of the ashes, but you can't hide that kind of venom for long.

The JPR echo chamber is a more suitable place for such.

(24,544 posts)The might of those two miscreants should equate to nothing less than the stalwarttiest stalwarts here getting AT LEAST 25 hides each! Nothing less than a two page blaring transparency page will do!
And I gotta love the "body parts" and "identity politics" crap. A class act, that one! Always has been.

(9,103 posts)Bash and trash on Hillary....just one of a number of people who joined DU, got into a primary, and one of two things must be true:
1.) Unlimited time and obsessed with hate for Hillary (personality disorder? anti-women? anti-gun control, who knows?) in some kind of extreme way. Even someone who preferred Bernie would not post thousands of posts to attack a political candidate unless emotionally extreme.
or
2.) A paid operative or troll of some kind; representing a RW group or political organization with the intent of creating havoc and disrupting the leading Democratic support for Hillary. It's a job to go online every day and attack. It would not matter if one represented Bernie or some other candidate that had no chance to win, as long as they take down Hillary.
There's no other logical reason for such behavior. If you were really an extreme Bernie fan, then volunteer, make phone calls, GOTV, or head for the local Bernie campaign office.
There have been a bunch of these high-number posters in GDP. Some have stylized formats with almost professional links and clips. They sometimes drop 3-4 lengthy OPs at odd hours of the night or within 5 minutes time. Very few people could really do all that research themselves. I know that I followed a bunch of links and sources from one of the suspects and traced it back to the staff and recent graduates of a college newspaper who represented a RW group.
DU would be better if such disruptors were banned, but for whatever reason that has not been the case. It seems easy to spot the extremists.
Once Hillary wins, we'll see some of the operatives disappear. That may be a clue they were not really Democrats to start with, so the swan songs and suicide notes will appear!

(15,438 posts)they've become too obvious, but make no mistake - they'll be back under another screen name to wreak havoc here as they offer their 'constructive criticism' of our Democratic nominee, and then when she wins the presidency, they'll start 'holding her feet to the fire'.

(15,122 posts)Listening to the gripes in that thread for not being able to call Hillary the c word. Which is just about the only sexist term that could get you banned. The glee going over to "a site for real progressives" LOL. I checked out the names of some posters there. Plenty of banned posters for their racism and supporters who defend the use of misogyny. Those are the real brogressives, right there.

(17,379 posts)for Clinton and DNC hate that weren't around at the time he was referring to, so I figured it was bogus. I'm talking irrational Clinton hate before he was an Arkansas governor, hmmm.
Then he said he was a Perot voter. I never saw him say a single constructive word about any Democrat. None were ever good enough. Hmmm.
Thanks Sancho! Following a link back to that original source you mentioned sheds a lot of light. You nailed it.

(15,438 posts)It only solidifies my belief that we Hillary Clinton supporters are supporting and have chosen the correct nominee to be the head of the Democratic Party.

(2,025 posts)I'd actually forgotten why I asked. The first time I saw that was as a kid, when I visited a friends house. They had a book of cartoons in the toilet. On the front page was a bloke standing in the toilet with the caption "Good Bye Cruel World," for a while I genuinely thought that was how people committed suicide.

At least he represented a certain segment of the DU Sanders community appropriately.
It's amazing how trashing the BS group, GD, and GD-P really improves one's outlook on life.
I expect we'll see a fair number of quits today to get ahead of the major loss tomorrow and Hillary sealing up the nomination.

Anyone around here as far back as 2004 primaries knows how bloody that was here. We fought like maniacs but the difference was we were basically on the same side. Now it's my way of the highway and get their panties in a bunch when they don't get their way.

(2,117 posts)So in order to save my purity I must reject the one party that stands between America and the republican oligarchy, because I read on the internet somewhere that Hillary is bad... Why research it? What I read on the Internet is always right. I hope you Hillary supporters will protect the country while me and the other purists vote Green Party. My purity dictates that others must stay in and fight while I step out of the process and vote for parties that can't win. You see, we all accepted it when Obama declared himself the winner before the convention, but you see, when it's my first choice candidate that loses, the rules must be different to accommodate my frustration. And remember things are much better now than they were under Bush, but continuing his upward trajectory must be denied because my candidate didn't win. All or nothing is the only way.
