Barbara Boxer was on the Diane Rehm show this morning.

A caller asked her if she could offer him any advice as he considered running for political office. She told him: don't run to be something, run to do something. Good advice indeed.

and they lose sight that they are suppose to represent their constituency and do right for the country.

I hate that she's retiring, but I understand her decision. Working until age 75 has to be enough, though.
