Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumDid anyone save any newspaper front pages from Tuesday, June 7?
I hope it's okay to post in here.
I am trying to make one of my headline/front page collages like the ones I made for Obama's nomination/elections as a gift for a friend who is a long-time Hillary supporter with front pages about her clinching the nomination.
I downloaded all the good ones from yesterday from the Newseum site, but I didn't think to get the ones from Tuesday (probably because I spent Tuesday being mad about the premature announcement from the AP), and for some reason the Newseum didn't think that was a day worth archiving as historic.
So if any of you saved any pictures or PDF's (even better) from Tuesday, the day after the AP announcement, I would really appreciate if you would share them with me. PM me and I will give you my e-mail address.
Congratulations, BTW.

(12,008 posts)Sorry, should have made that clear. Every day the newseum posts them on its website. Usually they archive the ones from days that are considered significant, but it seems they have not been archiving papers from significant dates in this year's election, unlike all the other recent elections.

(12,008 posts)I have most of the ones from yesterday, 6/8, but didn't get the ones from 6/7, after the AP announcement. Luckily the site you gave me has both.

(48,806 posts)some months ago when I happened to go to the Sanders group and just thanked someone, adding that I am pro-Hillary, I was swiftly banned from that group.
While many from your group, as long as you did not try to attack Hillary, were welcomed here and allowed to post.

(12,008 posts)Because I was being too "negative" by acknowledging that he was unlikely to be the nominee after the NY primary. Apparently I am not the only committed Bernie supporter who has been banned from there.

(3,854 posts)democrattotheend---A collage of headlines is a cool idea for a gift! So nice that you are doing something like that for a Hillary supporter. You give me hope that we Dems can pull it all together after a hard-fought primary.

(12,008 posts)I started making them during the 2004 election, and I made a bunch in 2008 and 2012 for my Zazzle store. Some with whole front pages and some with headlines.
I never got my friend a wedding gift because my credit card was stolen right before her wedding and it didn't make sense to give afterwards because she wanted stuff for her honeymoon, so I figure this would be a nice gift for her.
FWIW, looking through the headlines is making me a little more excited about Hillary being nominated, even though she wasn't my first choice. As a woman, even though I campaigned my heart out for Obama in 2008, I still felt a little sad when I watched her concession speech. As much as I love Bernie and as heartbroken as I am right now, part of me is glad to see Hillary get another chance.
