Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumThe L.A. Times calls Bernie as they see him and it's not good!
Sanders never mentioned Clintons historic accomplishment except by inference when he said that his campaign henceforth would be about defeating Donald Trump. He never actually said that Clinton had defeated him, or even that he was bowing out of the race, despite the fact that there are no more primaries to contest.
The absence of typical political grace by the defeated candidate was reminiscent of another insurgent inveighing against the establishment: Democrat Jerry Brown never got around to endorsing Bill Clinton in 1992 after the future president became his partys nominee.

(28,833 posts)Most reasonable people believe otherwise, but there aren't too many other explanations for why he's still in the race. The whole "I'm trying to send a message" thing doesn't work when one got hammered in the primaries.
Cha
(305,440 posts)that he's going for the poorest loser ever in a Democratic Primary for President.
Hillary showed him how to do lose with dignity and grace.. But, he has his head too far ** *** *** to take notice.
She was a graceful loser and look @ where she is now.
It's either as you suggest... that someone like HA Goodman convinced BS that Hillary will be indicted any day now.. Or, burnie just isn't mentally capable of admitting that he lost to the Woman he's been disingenuously demonizing for the last year.
He's definitely showing the world what a terrible potus he would have made.

(7,963 posts)Concede to Hillary. Honestly, this has ripped off the blinders for me. It has nothing to do with the fact about his voters or getting them to vote for Hillary. Once GE season starts, I think most will pivot and do what is right. It is the fact that he can't concede. I don't buy that he is in it to keep his word. I think he fell for the limelight and the sense of power. Or he certainly acts like someone who is deluded by it: making demands to a party that he was using to win and yet, when it comes down to it, all he can do is disparage all his democratic colleagues. What the heck is wrong with him? I have never seen a sore loser like this.

Sanders blamed the current leadership of the Democratic Party for a host of failures, persisting in his long battle against party chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz. (There was some irony to his claim that Democrats needed a 50-state strategy, since earlier this year Sanders repeatedly dismissed Clintons romping victories in Southern states because they occurred in the most conservative part of the country that would vote Republican in November.)[div]

(7,963 posts)He acts like he developed progressive ideals and it bothers me to no end that he not only doesn't give credit where credit is due, but he seems to think he is a messiah. He seems to have forgotten that he couldn't be where he is without the tireless work of democratic heros like Barbara Boxer, John Lewis, Kennedy, Wellstone, etc. that preceded him. He is not the FIRST. And he certainly isn't the only person with progressive ideals.
He is so ungracious and self centered. I can't stand him anymore.

(25,698 posts)He wore out his welcome about 2 months ago. He's a bully and a typical "Johnny Come Lately". He came late to the party and wants to take credit for everything. I also detect misogyny in his behavior directed at HRC and DWS. He is very dismissive of females.

Excuse me, he says five times, as she tries to speak.
Im asking a question, she shoots back.
Other hands are up as well, he tells her, attempting to call on someone named Jeff.
Alcindors question, when she was permitted to talk: What do you say to women who say that you staying in the race is sexist, because youre standing in the way of what could be the first female president?
Is that a serious question? Sanders asked, laugh-scoffing.
And then we have him shoving Jane to stand behind him on stage.
<iframe width="854" height="480" src="" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
And the total disrespect he showed toward HRC during the debates, waving his fingers at her, shouting for her to stop talking because he was talking. The signs were there.
It's a pattern. So I don't expect him to be a man and treat her as an equal. It's not in him.
Oh and by the way...Where are your tax returns Bernie?

I think there will probably be plenty of Moderate Independents to replace the votes Bernie holds fast. The 2nd biggest mistake the party made was to give him a say in the convention platform.
