10,000

For my 10,000th post on DU (most were pre-2008), I don't have anything terribly profound. Mostly, I'd just like to thank the members of the HCG.

I had serious doubts about returning to DU and only came back because I was curious to see the uniquely-DU take on the later stages of the primaries. It's funny how little has changed, though I hope that the new rules will allow for a better focus on November which is where it should be now.

Thanks, in part, to all of you, I've stayed longer than I expected and plan to hang around to see how all this turns out. With a lot of work and perhaps a little luck, we can win the presidency and get the new president a Congress much more amenable to a more progressive agenda.

Of course, in the end, all politics is local so that's where much of my focus will be. Time to make the donuts.

I appreciate that Skinner is trying to make this place livable.

Based on the first few hours of the "new" GD, so far so good.
