Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumI have a feeling I am going to enjoy this group
I am already disappointed that I was blocked from Bernie group for stating my desire to support the nomination.
I can imagine some people will use "questioning Hillary's stands" as ways to put a lot of negative information out there on general discussion and attempt to avoid hides.
I will be coming over here quite a bit to check in and band together behind a strong, accomplished woman who will make history as our first female President of the United States.

(55,830 posts)Please be advised though after this OP, we would appreciate not bringing up being blocked from other Groups here. Our main concern is all things Hillary & news that Hillary supporters want to share! We shattered the glass ceiling in the primary, now we want to shatter it again to have the first female president!
Again Welcome.

(11,746 posts)I don't expect you will but really I'm having a hard time understanding. I've lost a couple of friends in real life.
It's not me. They would say it was me, but it's not.
Oh well. If they want to perplex me, and confound me, and bring me down a little they've done as good a job as possible. But they haven't won anything for it. They haven't gained. For whatever it's worth they have lost my respect.

(11,746 posts)They're freaking politicians, not lovers. They do a job. If we get our policies we win, because we're correct.
There's a healthy dose of stupidity and another of malice in that cocktail too.

(9,494 posts)So Bernie_FTW does that stand for "Bernie for the win" or Bernie fuck the world"? or is there some other more obscure meaning???

(43 posts)the primary season was in full swing and that was the best I could come up with. I guess he showed a yearning for more liberal policies so that is a win.

(740 posts)...it's 'free the whales'. 'Fun time wins'?
Ah ha!
'Fuck the Wall' (street). <--I said this one a lot irl.
Edit: Just having 'FWA'. Fun with acronyms. I know it's 'for the win' (which I almost typed out as 'ftw' because that's how it's spelled to me).

(740 posts)...to the Bernie group, I think you probably would have been blocked from this one for saying the opposite if the situation were different, though I can't be sure.
Thank you for your post in GD, umm... E. It made a terrible (for non-politcal stuff at home) day better.

(55,830 posts)This Group would have supported whoever the Democratic nominee is and encouraged our Group members to do the same.
Just saying.

(740 posts)..but I really was trying to help the poster feel less stabbed in the back by their former brethren.
And I did state that it was an opinion that I had no certainty of.
But I can delete it, if you like. There's all kinda of awful things happening right now in my life so I cannot be a good judge of the appropriateness of what I say and will leave that judgment to others.

(55,830 posts)I just wanted as a group host to inject how we would have handled this Group if there had been a different outcome.
...I think I'm going to (try to) shut up for a bit, though. I'd probably break down at this point if I upset somebody and all I'm doing right now is cluttering threads.
I'm sorry, guys.

(2,117 posts)But they're saying it in ways that they hope will avoid a "post removed." For example "my friends think Hillary.." or "some people say Hillary.."
The strategy seems to be that if they avoid saying that they themselves think it, or finding links from accepted sites that undermine Hillary but posting it as "objective news," they'll get away with it. My prediction is those who use this strategy will end up banned.

(28,833 posts)There's also a lot of "I'm not pushing Libertarians, but look at this story about Gary Johnson".
"I'm not pushing Gary Johnson. Really. Really, I'm not. But, he's at 10%!!!!! But, I'm not pushing him!"
Those do tend to get removed, at least.
And lots of concern trolling and sarcasm. Hillary is the best candidate EVER!!!
Just kind of laugh at it all, though.

(2,117 posts)October/November rolls around and the shit is really flying, everyone who has a brain will wake up and vote straight Democrat. I can't imagine not voting against Trump. The guy is dangerous. Actually dangerous.

(2,034 posts)you might want to find some way to either change your picture profile or reflect that your with Team Clinton right now. A lot of us were fans of Bernie until we saw how his hard core fans were treating us

(3,826 posts)We've all be in a position of having our candidate of choice not win the nomination, and I'm no exception. But I've never seen the kind of animosity and rancor that has become the driving force behind some of Bernie's supporters. We all have one goal, and that is to elect Democrats up and down the ballot and help our country move forward. It's that important.
