Pant-suits.

I'm glad to see that the pants-suits for which Hillary Clinton is notable have gone from being objects of derision to objects of affection. They are probably the least-important of her many attributes, but it's gratifying to see people talking about them in a positive way now.

1. Someone posted a pix of Sanders on the trail. It was a back shot of him….

Pants were WAY too long with hem dragging on the ground and his shirt tails hanging out over the back. He looked like a total mess.

Why am I posting about that?

Because you and I and everyone else here knows that if Hillary ever appeared even half that unkempt and disarrayed it'd be plastered over the media.

The Sanders camp used the term "dishevelled" with the same affection that we Clinton supporters refer to her pant-suits. But if used for Hillary, it would be spoken with blistering contempt. And the anti-Clinton media voices would run with it for weeks...

Hillary has thick ankles, and like me, she wears pants to hide them. You can't exercise-away genetically thick ankles! Even my tiniest, skinniest cousins have the same feature. I think the last time I saw Hillary in a dress/skirt, other than a formal gown, she was walking down the street, maybe an inaugural parade? Second thing - fashion-wise - is that she hasn't worn anything that even hints of cleavage since, IIRC, the 2008 campaign when there was unkind commentary about the, maybe, inch of cleavage showing. As if breasts were inappropriate in a presidential candidate! So I hope she lets 'the girls' loose once in a while when she's president, if she's comfortable doing so. Give the prudes the middle finger 'cause, um, women have breasts.

7. I agree. I'm so sick of Washington D.C's "uniform".

Navy suit, white shirt, red power tie. Or if a pol is feeling especially daring, a blue tie.

The Brits have their own Parliamentary uniform: grey suit, light blue shirt, dark blue tie.

There are a few variations on this theme, but it's pretty standard.

Just once, I'd like to see a stylish politician sport a single-button tan summer suit with a pastel shirt, paisley tie, argyle socks, and a pair of brown-and-white spectator shoes.

Hell, add gloves and a cane to go with them. Go bold or go home.
