Can someone answer a question for me?

If the original post on a thread is "post removed", does the whole thread get deleted? I was reading a thread in GD 2016 when all of a sudden I was zoomed back up to the original post, which read post removed, then it disappeared.....whoosh! And I was back on the GD 2016 main page. The thread is nowhere to be found. Is this possible?

and when I clicked "Post", it said cannot reply to an OP that was removed. Then I looked for the OP and it was gone.

So I think charlyvi is correct - the entire thread is removed.
